DESCRIPTION

A high quality 25 micron polymide base material with a special white coating developed specifically for Thermal Transfer printing and backed with a high quality acrylic based adhesive, suitable for a wide range of high temperature applications.

APPLICATION

This product will withstand very high temperatures including direct contact with molten soldier.

DESCRIPTION

Melinex® 506 is a sparkling optically clear knurled film with an adhesion promoting pretreatment on both surfaces. It is normally used in the Graphics industry where its excellent clarity and printing/coating adhesion are utilised. It is available in thicknesses of 75, 100, 125 and 175 microns

A white woodfree, smooth treated surface specially designed for thermal transfer printing purposes. The extremely smooth and absorbent treated surface may be printed with fair results by most common printing processes including flexo, letterpress, gravure and offset.

END-USES

MACtrans ll is a specially paper selected as atop quality construction for thermal transfer* printing systems thanks to its treated surface.
* Thermal transfer printing quality is dependent upon the ribbon quality and the
compatibility with the face stock.

MP 196 is a permanent acrylic adhesive, emulsion based, offering a perfect combination of a quick tack and shear resistance and an outstanding adhesion to most substrates. MP 196 is a multipurpose adhesive suitable for high converting speeds, achieving optimal dispensing.

MP 196 complies with the Bg VV regulation for direct contact with food.

ADHESIVE PERFORMANCE

The clear permanent adhesive combines excellent UV resistance and weatherability with good adhesion performance on most substrates, including apolar surfaces.


APPLICATIONS AND USE
The product is specially designed for durable labels where, after conventional printing, the labels have to be imprinted using any of the available computer printing systems. Imprinting systems providing smudgeproof print results include Dot matrix, Inkjet, Thermal Transfer and Laser Printers as well as type-writers and other printers based on ink ribbon or carbon ribbon.
Preliminary testing is recommended.
N.B. Product is suitable for continuous fed cold laser, for sheet fed and hot laser conversion we offer a suitable product, viz, laser PET white

The excellent strength properties, chemical resistance and weatherability make this product suitable for a range of demanding applications. Typical applications are identification labels and nameplates.
Good high temperature resistance adds ample opportunities in the field of electric, electronic and technical product labelling.
The product is UL recognised under no. MH15453 (M)

PRINTING/CONVERSION
The material can be printed by letterpress, flexo, screen, gravure and offset.
Special formulated inks are not required.
Solvents like acetone, MEK or toluene should not be used.
